There can be no purpose more inspiring than to begin the age of restoration, reweaving the wondrous diversity of life that still surrounds us.

Ecosystem Restoration

Ecosystems support all life on Earth. The healthier our ecosystems are, the healthier we are.  Healthy ecosystems result in greater biodiversity, carbon sequestration, fertile soil, and more.

In EarthWilders, we perform ecosystem restoration through our curriculum in removing non-native plants from our restoration site, mulching the soil, and planting native groundcover, shrubs, and trees.  This will help restore ailing species, such as pollinators and birds.  Because it will help take carbon out of the atmosphere and store it in the ground, ecosystem restoration is a powerful climate solution.

Engaging in ecosystem restoration allows young people to have active roles in healing the earth. It helps them develop deep relationships with the natural environment and trains them to become leaders in a global movement to restore and save our planet.
